As a volunteer at L’Arche in France, you’ll live and work alongside people with intellectual disabilities in a welcoming, family-style home. Your role is to share daily life—cooking, going for walks, doing creative activities, helping with household tasks, and participating in community events like birthdays, gardening, or spiritual gatherings. You won’t provide personal care but will support residents in meaningful, everyday ways.

You’ll be part of a professional and caring team, with your own room in the house. In return for your commitment, you’ll receive around 500€ per month, plus housing, meals, and clothing. Volunteers work 35 to 46 hours a week, with 1 to 3 days off, and earn 2 days of paid leave per month worked.

This is more than volunteering—it’s about connection, community, and learning through shared life.
