CEEYOUTH4EUROPE is a two-year Erasmus+ project that brings together youth workers and disadvantaged young people from Central, Eastern, Northern, and Southern Europe to connect, engage, and empower them through education, dialogue, and advocacy.
The project was created to address three key challenges faced by young people across Europe today:
– Lack of awareness and understanding of EU policies that affect their lives
– Low levels of democratic participation, especially among marginalised groups
– High youth unemployment rates, particularly for rural youth, ethnic minorities, LGBTQI+ youth, and economically disadvantaged communities
CEEYOUTH4EUROPE believes that empowering young people and youth workers with knowledge, tools, and opportunities to engage in democratic life is essential to building a more inclusive, sustainable, and participatory Europe. Through a wide range of activities, the project aims to:
- Increase young people’s awareness of EU youth policies and strategies. This is achieved through 12 online webinars exploring the EU Youth Strategy and related policy frameworks, open to young people and youth workers from across Europe.
- Strengthen youth workers’ and organisations’ capacity to support disadvantaged young people. Two in-person training courses will support youth workers in sharing best practices, exchanging tools, and developing skills for inclusive engagement.
- Promote youth participation in policy dialogue. Through high-level training events and a final conference at the European Parliament, young people will be supported to express their views and influence policy, with the help of the Youth Ambassadors Network and a co-created Youth Declaration.
- Build stronger connections across Europe. The project supports networking among youth organizations and creates more than 150 new partnerships, building long-term collaborations and ensuring the sustainability of the project’s results.
CEEYOUTH4EUROPE directly engages more than 1900 participants through its activities and reaches thousands more through local and international dissemination. All resources – including an advocacy toolkit and best practice collection – will be made publicly available to inspire others to support youth empowerment and inclusion.
By bringing the voices of young people to the centre of European dialogue, CEEYOUTH4EUROPE supports the priorities of the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027 and the European Youth Work Agenda. It promotes democracy, participation, and equal opportunities for all young people – no matter their background.
