Location: Palermo, Italy
This youth exchange is designed for young people who want to explore the importance of collective action and cooperation, and reflect on how working together can help address the challenges faced by contemporary societies. The project invites participants to rethink the value of collaboration, community engagement, and shared responsibility in a world that often focuses more on individual success, competition, and personal goals.
Participants will take part in interactive workshops and activities based on non-formal education methods such as group discussions, simulations, and shared reflection. Through these activities, you will explore how cooperation between individuals and communities can contribute to building more inclusive, supportive, and sustainable societies, while also reflecting on important social challenges such as environmental issues and social inequalities.
The programme also offers participants the opportunity to experience Palermo as a vibrant and multicultural city, while most of the activities will take place at Terra Franca, an urban ecological microcosm created on land confiscated from the mafia and returned to the community.
If you want to better understand the value of collective action, reflect on the role of community participation, and learn how cooperation can create positive change, this youth exchange is for you!
Age of participants: 18–30
Accommodation and meals during the project will be free of charge. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ distance rules after the project.
