Smart AI Smarter Youth
Project number: 2024-3-SK02-KA210-YOU-000280390
Project duration: 2025 January 1 – 2026 June 30
Smart AI, Smarter Youth is an 18-month international project designed to empower young people and youth workers to confidently use artificial intelligence (AI) in their daily activities and youth work practices. Bringing together partners from Slovakia, Portugal, Lithuania, and Turkey, the project addresses the growing digital divide and promotes inclusive, innovative approaches to youth engagement in a rapidly evolving technological world.
The project focuses on four key objectives. First, it equips youth workers with practical, hands-on experience in using AI tools, enabling them to integrate innovative digital solutions into their work and better support young people. Second, it encourages active participation among young people through AI-focused workshops, helping them understand and apply AI to real-life challenges such as unemployment, digital exclusion, and community development. Third, it builds a strong international network of youth organizations, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of best practices across countries. Finally, it promotes non-formal education by providing accessible and practical learning opportunities that make AI understandable, creative, and relevant.
Through its activities, the project aims to achieve meaningful outcomes. At least 40 youth workers will gain practical AI skills and enhance their capacity to innovate in youth work, while over 100 young people will improve their digital literacy and confidence in using AI to solve real-world problems. A key result of the project will be the development of an open-access AI application tailored for youth work, offering tools and guidelines to support digital inclusion and ongoing learning. In addition, the project will strengthen long-term cooperation between organizations, creating a sustainable network that continues to share resources and methodologies beyond the project’s duration.
By combining technology, education, and international collaboration, Smart AI, Smarter Youth empowers the next generation to become active, skilled, and responsible participants in an AI-driven society.
