A House of Solidarity – volunteering in Le Saussoir, France
A House of Solidarity is a European Solidarity Corps volunteering opportunity at the Beaumotte Centre in the French countryside. The project brings together young people from Europe and beyond for a shared experience built around cooperation, openness, community life and learning by doing.
During the workcamp, volunteers will learn basic woodworking skills by making wooden shutters for the house and will also support activities in the permaculture garden. The group will help maintain and improve the living environment, prepare outdoor spaces for winter and take part in shared daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and maintaining common areas.
The project is rooted in solidarity and intercultural exchange. Volunteers will live in an international environment, contribute to community life and have time for visits to Besancon, walks in the countryside and group activities planned together with the facilitators.
Location: Le Saussoir, France

Age of participants: 18-30
Number of volunteers: 16 (2-3 people from the country)
