Adele

My name is Adele Simoni and I come from the countryside of Bologna, Italy.

I studied International Relations and Diplomacy for my Bachelor’s degree and Human Rights for my Master’s degree. Over the years, I discovered how much I enjoy being in international environments, meeting people from different cultures and working on projects connected to human rights and social impact.
Right now, I am living in Vilnius and completing the last three months of my Civil Service program at Tavo Europa. Here, I have the chance to work with Erasmus+ projects by helping organize and facilitate activities and events.

My journey with volunteering started when I was still in high school. I joined a work camp in France and, the following year, another one in Estonia. Those experiences were my first real contact with international volunteering and they completely changed the way I saw the world. I met amazing people, stepped out of my comfort zone and realized how much you can learn through these kinds of experiences.
Since then, I have continued exploring opportunities abroad. During university, I spent one year in Portugal through the Erasmus program and another year in Brazil doing volunteer work. Living in different countries taught me independence, adaptability and the importance of connecting with people from different backgrounds.

Besides volunteering, I also love reading and learning languages, which is another way I enjoy discovering new cultures and perspectives.
