My name is Davide Calligola and I come from Bologna, Italy.
I studied International Relations both for my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at the University of Bologna. During my academic path, I became increasingly interested in European affairs, politics and the role of international cooperation in creating opportunities for young people and communities.
Over the years, I have had the chance to take part in different Erasmus experiences. I studied in Manchester and later completed traineeships in Berlin and Lisbon. These experiences helped me grow a lot, both personally and professionally. Living in different countries allowed me to become more independent, adaptable and open to new cultures and perspectives.
Right now, I am living in Vilnius and carrying out my Civil Service experience at Tavo Europa. Here, I have the chance to work in both Communication and Project Management, discovering from the inside how Erasmus+ projects are designed, promoted, organised and implemented.
Since I have experienced first-hand how meaningful international opportunities can be, I am especially happy to contribute to projects that allow other young people to live similar experiences abroad. Working with Erasmus+ projects is helping me understand how ideas can become concrete activities, and how non-formal education can support participation, dialogue and active European citizenship.
Through this experience, I am developing practical skills in communication, project design, Erasmus+ project management and non-formal education. I am also learning how important teamwork, flexibility and creativity are when working in an international environment.
I am especially interested in environmental issues, travelling, European citizenship, youth participation and politics. These topics are connected not only to my studies and previous experiences, but also to the kind of path I would like to build in the future.
My time at Tavo Europa is an important opportunity for growth. I will bring home new skills, inspiring encounters and a clearer awareness of how valuable European projects can be in connecting young people, cultures and ideas.
