Join BirdLife Malta’s international team and make a real difference by protecting birds, conserving their habitats, and inspiring people to connect with nature. As a volunteer, you’ll become part of a passionate and dedicated community working across Malta’s beautiful nature reserves.
In your role as a Nature Reserves Visitor Assistant, you’ll welcome visitors, give tours of the reserves and the Salina salt museum, set up exhibitions, and help manage the reception centre and nature shop. You’ll also support educational events, assist with research projects, and take part in habitat maintenance and conservation activities. Every day will bring new opportunities to learn about environmental education, biodiversity, and community engagement.
Living in Malta, you’ll not only experience Mediterranean culture but also gain valuable skills in communication, teamwork, and environmental stewardship. This is more than volunteering—it’s an opportunity to grow personally and professionally while contributing to a sustainable future.
Bring your enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion for nature—Malta is waiting for you!
