Are you passionate about IT and nature? Join BirdLife Malta as an IT Conservation Assistant and spend 12 months combining technology with environmental impact. You’ll support digital transformation projects that directly contribute to bird conservation and research in the Maltese Islands.
As a volunteer, you’ll set up live bird-webcams, help build and maintain online databases and platforms, digitize archives with AI tools, and create innovative digital solutions for conservation. You’ll also have the chance to take part in fieldwork, from bird ringing sessions to data collection, experiencing first-hand how your skills support nature protection.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on IT experience—web development, data management, live streaming—while making a real difference for wildlife and biodiversity.
Bring your creativity, curiosity, and tech skills—Malta is waiting for you!
