Volunteer in Montendre, France 🇫🇷
“The Spring Vegetable Garden” is a unique project set in Montendre, in the south-west of France, where you’ll have the opportunity to join an international team of volunteers for two weeks and take part in environmental and community-based activities at Maison des Bateleurs – Solidarités Jeunesses. This opportunity is open to male volunteers only.
You will work on activities focused on sustainable development, permaculture, and collective living, helping to maintain and develop the Maison’s spring vegetable garden through sowing, transplanting, hoeing, watering, harvesting, and soil preparation. Activities also include the upkeep of compost bins, the phytosanitary pond, the chicken coop, the insect hotel, bat nesting boxes, and the bamboo grove. Participants will also take part in daily community life, preparing meals together, sharing intercultural moments, and meeting local residents and association volunteers. This experience will allow volunteers to deepen their understanding of sustainability while discovering the values of solidarity, diversity, and living together.
Reminder: Accommodation and food are covered, and you’ll stay in collective accommodation at Maison des Bateleurs, in dormitories and/or individual rooms, close to the workcamp activities!
