Join Youth Centre De Takel in Oostende for a 12-month volunteering project supporting local youth as a youth worker. The centre is part of the Don Bosco network and offers a welcoming and safe space where young people can engage in various recreational activities such as sports, crafts, and creative workshops.

The heart of this project lies in building meaningful connections with the young people who visit the centre. Many of them have a migration background or have come to Belgium as refugees or asylum seekers, which makes this a unique opportunity to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Open-minded and empathetic

• Interested in youth engagement and community work

• Comfortable in multicultural settings

• Ideally has some experience in youth work (not a must, but a plus!)

Your role will be hands-on from the start, supporting the team in creating a positive atmosphere and helping organize activities that foster inclusion, creativity, and personal growth among the youth.
