Location: Podhájska, Slovakia
This international training project brings together youth workers with the aim of equipping them to recognize and respond to disinformation and misinformation. Over the course of 10 days, 28 participants and 2 trainers will engage in a dynamic and collaborative learning experience designed to build critical skills, share knowledge, and foster a deeper understanding of how fake news and propaganda impact societies.
Through a mix of workshops, discussions, and practical sessions, the training will explore the history of propaganda in each participant’s country, develop methods for identifying disinformation, and enhance communication skills for leading informed, respectful conversations.
A key focus of the project is on strengthening media literacy and critical thinking. Participants will learn to design and deliver workshops, create online educational campaigns, and apply their learning in real settings, including a school visit. By the end of the training, they will be better equipped to support young people in navigating today’s complex media landscape and to lead local initiatives that counter misinformation.
