Location: Saint-Julien-en-Beauchêne, France
This youth exchange is designed for young people who want to experience collective living, hands-on learning, and active participation through community work and intercultural exchange.
Participants will take part in practical activities focused on renovating and preserving local heritage, while learning traditional construction techniques alongside local experts. Through teamwork and shared responsibilities, you will contribute to the restoration of historical buildings, support the organisation of a local festival, and actively participate in the daily life of the community.
The programme combines manual work, non-formal education, and intercultural learning, encouraging participants to reflect on active citizenship, sustainability, and cooperation. Afternoons will include workshops, discussions, and outdoor activities exploring the surrounding mountains and valley, while shared tasks such as meal preparation will strengthen collaboration, responsibility, and community spirit.
If you want to learn practical skills, experience collective living, and contribute to a meaningful community project while connecting with young people from different countries, this youth exchange is for you!
Age of participants: 15 – 17, Group leader: 18+
Accommodation and meals during the project will be free of charge. Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules after the project.
