Art has the unique power to overcome barriers, connect people, and foster understanding across cultures, abilities, and backgrounds. Through artistic expression, individuals can explore their identities, share their stories, and build bridges of empathy and inclusion. This youth exchange, centered on the themes of art, inclusion, diversity, and education, will bring together young people from various European countries, including youngsters with disabilities and deaf/hard-of-hearingparticipants, to engage in collaborative artistic activities, including gestural theater, music, and documentary filmmaking. By working together to create a wordless theatrical play supported by music and sounds, and by producing a documentary that promotes the idea of inclusion, participants will not only develop their artistic skills but also celebrate diversity and foster intercultural dialogue.
This exchange will provide a safe and supportive space for young people from diverse backgrounds, including those with fewer opportunities to express themselves, learn from one another, and contribute to a collective artistic project. Through non-formal education methods, participants will explore how art can be a powerful tool for social change, personal growth, and community building. By the end of the exchange, participants will have created a gestural theater performance (using body language as a universal and accessible form of communication), a musical piece to support the play, and a documentary film that highlights the theme of inclusion and documents the creative process of the theater play. These works will be presented to the local public, ensuring accessibility for all.
Age of participants: 18 – 30
Accommodation and meals during the project will be free of charge. Travel expenses will be reimbursed after the project
