This is a training course for youth workers, trainers, and educators who want to strengthen young people’s critical engagement with stories, media, and information that shape their everyday realities. Together we explore how narratives influence perception, identity, values, and decision-making—and why stories can often impact beliefs more powerfully than facts alone.
Throughout the training, we will work through experiential workshops, debates, storytelling exercises, reflective practices, and a study visit. The focus is on developing concrete skills such as critical thinking, recognising cognitive biases and manipulation, understanding misinformation and emotional framing, and exploring how algorithms, virality, and the attention economy shape what we see and believe.
We will also practice argumentation, facilitation methods for media literacy, and how to use storytelling ethically and responsibly in youth work.
By the end of the training, you will leave with practical methods and ready-to-use activities to help young people become more critical, reflective, and responsible media users.
Join us if you want to empower young people to navigate today’s information chaos with confidence, and turn stories into tools for inclusion and active citizenship.
