Location: Bicăcel, Romania
This training course is designed for youth workers who want to explore democracy, civic responsibility, and participation while developing practical tools to make democratic values more accessible and engaging for young people.
Participants will take part in interactive workshops and non-formal education activities focused on democratic participation, voting awareness, social responsibility, European citizenship, and equal rights. Through simulations, role-plays, group discussions, digital learning sessions, and collaborative design labs, you will reflect on the social and democratic contract between citizens and society, explore barriers to participation, and learn how to translate democratic concepts into meaningful learning experiences for young people.
The programme combines non-formal education methods, teamwork, reflection, and practical experimentation to strengthen key competences such as communication, facilitation, critical thinking, civic awareness, digital collaboration, and democratic engagement. Special attention is given to encouraging freedom of expression and participation, and promoting environmentally responsible practices in youth work and project implementation.
If you want to deepen your understanding of democracy and participation and be part of an inspiring international learning experience, this training course is for you!
